Marim Daien Zipursky

Marim earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Honours, Art History, from the University of Manitoba’s School of Art and returned later to pursue her own creative interests in the Ceramic Department. She has participated in workshops and classes in Manitoba, Ontario, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. Marim maintains a studio in her home, exhibiting and selling her work in several galleries and regular group shows. She is best known for her sculptural smoke fired vessels and since joining The Stoneware Gallery in 2017 she has developed a line of functional wares. Marim is a prairie girl who is greatly influenced by the beauty and textures of the ocean, which is reflected in her work.
